I have personally used the oil-based salve when needed for over 40 years. When I get a horse fly bite at my cabin, I normally swell up like a balloon in the bite area and get a bad headache. However, when I put the salve on the bite within 5-10 minutes of getting bitten, then I do not swell up. This is because the salve will actually pull out the poison. It also speeds up the healing process when I have cuts, scrapes or a minor rash.

I used the oil-based salve just the other day actually. My husband accidentally laid his hand on the muffler of a pressure washer. I ran in the house to get the salve and put a bunch on his hand right away. We should have been in the emergency room and wrapping his hand for days with blisters and all kinds of terrible outcomes. But instead, he doesn’t even have redness on his hand. There is no pain, no blisters, no burn of any kind! This stuff has saved us on numerous occasions!
